This 12 week program is a key piece of Thrivent’s entry level talent program to ensure a strong pipeline of new talent to meet the needs of the organization now and into the future. This summer intern position is responsible for assisting with the updating and development of record AutoCAD drawings for the Corporate Center, Ballard Operations and other locations as assigned.
Primary role of the position is to assist Facilities Planning staff with AutoCAD updates such as layer assignment and application of consistent CAD standards to the department’s existing database of building drawings
Additional work includes preparing drawings in AutoCAD for various projects, space planning, developing finish records and verifying existing conditions as needed
Assist in furniture selection and inventory as needed
Other tasks related to a Faculties Planner/Architect/Real Estate position as assigned
Working towards an undergraduate degree in commercial interior design or architecture
Currently enrolled in junior year with an excellent academic track record (GPA 3.0+)
Ability to efficiently operate AutoCAD 2015 software
Ability to use Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Familiarity with FM System facilities management software, although not required, is a plus
Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
Interns coming from greater than 50 miles from campus are eligible for subsidized housing
Ability to work full time in the summer
