The Intern Architect is the entry level position for the professional architectural staff with less than 3 years of experience. The Intern Architect's primary activity is in the implementation of project directives. Under the direction of the Project Architect/Design Architect, the Intern Architect will concentrate on specific design or documentation tasks that contribute to the overall project. Successful candidates will have Revit experience.

Specific responsibilities of the Intern Architect may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop hand drawing, rendering, and model building skills.
Prepare presentation drawings.
Produce design and construction documents, as directed.
Meet task and project deadlines.
Work to achieve Client's goals.
Communicate an understanding of task assignments and expectations.
Develop design skills.
Explore alternate design approaches as directed by Project Architect/Design Architect.
Inform Project Team Leaders of potential project opportunities.
Develop visual and presentation skills.
Undertake job related research, as directed.
Gain an understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods.
Develop computer software skills (Revit, CADD, Photoshop, sketch-up, word, excel, etc.)
Develop and maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry projects and resources.
Promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
Intern Architects are expected to:
Seek architectural registration.
Participate in professional/community organization and activities.
Take advantage of continuing education and seminar opportunities.
0 to 3 years professional architectural experience.
Graduate of accredited architectural program with Bachelor's level degree.
Working knowledge of Revit
1 year graphic and/or design experience or comparable knowledge gained in an academic environment.
