The engineering intern will be teamed with experienced engineers to complete various engineering assignments. Individual will be a hands-on plant engineer focusing mainly on improvements for processing and packaging systems. Work will include capital projects and/or maintenance improvement projects. Interaction with all levels of personnel, especially those on the plant floor, will be required. Intern will have day-to-day technical input to the Operations Team regarding line and process improvements.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
Expectations include providing technical guidance for maintenance and production employees to solve day-to-day problems and implement solutions. Focus will be on equipment and systems redesign, efficiency improvements, cost savings, and line upgrades. Interns shall have good people skills, team oriented (member/leader), strong technical expertise, and strong conceptual and systematic thinking skills.
Minimum Education Level/Degree:
Class Standing Required - Senior status
Chem E, EE, ME preferred
GPA Required 3.0 or higher
