Accion International Human Resources Intern, Organizational Development in Cambridge, Massachusetts
The Organizational Development Intern will add value to Accion, through support of the organization’s performance and talent management processes and implementation of high quality organizational development initiatives and programs designed to ensure excellence in attaining Accion’s mission and objectives. He/She will strategize, develop and support key organizational activities during the duration of the internship, including the annual employee engagement survey, the annual talent review process, and the re-design of Accion’s corporate mentor program.
The intern will also look closely at Accion’s performance management process and the way it is introduced to new hires through on boarding and interim review processes.
The intern will gain exposure to the organization and employee development in a global non-profit organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to apply and expand their skills in data input and analysis, communications, and training and development in a non-profit Human Resources setting.
- Analyze response trends and develop reports; support employee engagement discussion groups within offices and regions.
Accion Mentor Program
- Support the Accion Mentor Program, including coordinating mentoring activities and developing program resources and materials.
Support the Talent Review process and related activities including development of materials and resources for management (9-box, high potentials etc.)
Support administration of performance management processes in Halogen, Accion’s web-based performance management system. Conduct an audit of employee goals to ensure that they match Accion’s standards.
Assist in process development and responding to staff inquiries. Review and edit current forms and processes to make it more efficient.
- Support the Developing leaders program, including identification of program resources and materials and potentially co-facilitating group sessions.
Support development of organizational communications, training materials, and other resources.
Provide general administrative support to the Learning and Organizational Development unit and the Human Resource team as required.
Graduate student studying Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field preferred;
Excellent organizational and administrative skills, strong attention to detail;
Strong oral and written skills
Ability to think strategically
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills required
Fluency in English required, proficiency in Spanish (oral and written) highly desired
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
