What are you waiting for?!Summary:Mortenson is currently seeking Field (Engineering / Electrical /Safety) Interns with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at alllevels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful,proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism andconfidentiality.Mortenson Interns can specialize in a variety of areasincluding: Project Management, Superintendent, Safety, Scheduling,Electrical, Estimating, Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing, andQuality ManagemResponsibilities:Highlights include:Mortenson's zero injury safety requirementsPlan and specification content and organizationCompleting change orders on a construction projectShop drawings, Submittals, and the RFI processesPurchase orders and subcontract agreementsConstruction sequencingPreconstruction and pre-installation meetingsSubcontractor coordination meetings and correspondenceExpedition softwarePreparation and evaluation of bid packagesMonitoring subcontractors and material suppliersMaterial procurementArchitect / Owner interactionProject Assignment:Interns may be placed in one of the following:Chicago OfficeCivil Operating GroupDenver OfficeFederal Contracting GroupHigh Voltage Transmission GroupMilwaukee OfficeMinneapolis OfficePhoenix OfficePortland OfficeSeattle OfficeSolar and Emerging Renewables GroupSports and Entertainment GroupWind Energy GroupAdditional Information:Mortenson internships are available year round including fall (September -December), spring (January - May) and summer (May - August).
