Front Office Intern

The Front Office Intern will be highly involved in the Front Officeoperations and contributing to the success of the department. Under theguidance of the Front Office supervisors and managers, he/she is responsiblefor providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests andcoordinating the duties of the front desk.

Main tasks

  • Greet and welcome all guestsapproaching the Front Desk in accordance with Wyndham standards.

  • Being able to perform all FrontOffice duties like check-in and check-out of guests, answering the phoneaccording to etiquette, help guests with their inquiries, taking reservationsand performing administrative tasks.

  • Be familiar with all the FrontOffice software required for the Front Office Intern.

  • Ensure that all Wyndham brandstandards are met when serving the guests and handling information.

  • Answer guest inquiries abouthotel services, facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner.

  • Ensure logging and delivery ofpackages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.

  • Review Front Office log andTrace File daily.

  • Answer inquiries from guestsregarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.

  • Be familiar with all in-housegroups.

  • Be aware of closed out andrestricted dates.

  • Assist Front Office Supervisorand Duty Manager in performing coordinator duties.

  • Be familiar with hospitalityand Wyndham specific terminology.

  • Have knowledge of emergencyprocedures and assist as needed.

  • Use proper etiquette at alltimes when communicating with guests and associates.

  • Be able to perform and completeall tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Maintain and market promotionsand guest programs.

  • Maintain a clean work area.

  • Perform any other works as andwhen assigned by the supervisor and/or management

Requirements

  • Currently studying or recent graduate

  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Can work in high paced work environment with minimal supervision
