Job Summary:Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager or Preceptor Pharmacist, works to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services as defined by the laws of the NH Board of Pharmacy for Pharmacist Interns. Maintain a positive relationship with physicians, patients and all other health care providers and staff.Responsibilities:Works with the pharmacy team to provide high quality patient care. Responds attentively and responsive to the needs of patients. Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Represents the department in a positive manner.Cultivates a patient oriented service. Leads by example by modeling professional behavior. Ensures patient satisfaction by addressing patient questions and concerns effectively.Provides drug counseling as needed to patients. Helps in drug distribution and data entry.Anticipates and solves patient problems as they arise.Contacts providers when there appears to be a possibility of unsafe or inappropriate use of a medication.Participates in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and consults with patients.Provides educational in-services when needed.Report all medication errors and near misses.Acts as a resource to other staff members.
