The Product Education Marketing and eLearning Content Designer Intern creates concise and engaging eLearning materials for PayPal employees. Interactivity, animations and the ability to measure results from learners are key aspects of our eLearnings. The Intern also reviews existing methods of communicating our portfolio of dedicated websites, eLearning courses, instructor-led classes, newsletters & webinars. They then develop materials that promote the portfolio to PayPal’s 18,000+ employee base with input from the Product Education team.
The Product Education team services employees and actual merchant customers with compelling learning material about the PayPal, Inc. portfolio of products and sites. Multiple media from interactive eLearning modules to single-page handouts to webinars to electronic newsletters to dedicated websites are used to engage our constituents. Additionally, we deliver Instructor-led classroom learning that puts PayPal customers at the forefront of how we innovate. Our small team delivers big learning experiences for PayPal employees and key customers around the world.
Review the Product Education portfolio of learning content and interview each full time Product Education employee to get a sense of roles and responsibilities
Develop a marketing plan that promotes the full portfolio of learning experiences offered by Product Education
Contribute to the learning portfolio by designing a five minute interactive eLearning on a topic determined by the Product Education team
Apply education theory for adult learners and/or proven marketing strategies in support of assigned duties
The ideal Marketing and eLearning Content Designer Intern will be someone that understands the unique ways adult business professionals learn and will use that knowledge to create compelling marketing and eLearning materials
Knowledge of or experience with Marketing and/or Education
Ability to map out a project plan that covers a number of variables and deliverables
Knowledge of developing content in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Ability to identify the best medium to effectively communicate messaging
Ability to process information from different audiences and determine the best course of action after taking all details into account
Qualities and Personal Traits:
Strategic thinker that sees how smaller details come together to create the big picture
Outstanding listening and empathy skills to understand how to best serve an audience by stepping into their shoes
Flexibility to change responsibilities as needed
Majoring or specializing in Marketing, Education, Advertising or Public Relations
Sufficient comfort with MS Word and PowerPoint to develop materials in them. Creating interactive elements in PowerPoint such as animation and audio are expected.
Ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects running concurrently
