You will be responsible for creating and maintaining website content for VAX VacationAccess. In this role, you will research, write and maintain articles for The Compass, a collection of original articles exclusive to the VAX website, as well assist in the creation of other website content. You must have experience writing and editing content (preferably digital), a solid understanding of AP Style and an interest in writing for the leisure travel industry.
A successful Editorial Intern will:
Conceptualize, research, write and edit website content following AP Style and VAX branding guidelines
Interview subject matter experts and use as a source for content
Analyze content performance metrics and adjust content or promotion to meet goals
Audit and maintain content library to keep content fresh and up to date
Help with additional engagement projects as needed

$15 per hour.
15-20 hours per week with a first shift schedule Monday through Friday.
Flexible hours to accommodate class schedule.
Must be at a junior or senior standing at the start of the internship and a 3.0 or higher grade point average is preferred.
Working toward a Bachelor's degree in journalism or English from four-year college or university with focus on writing.
Excellent research and writing skills, preferably with a focus on digital content.
Solid understanding of AP Style.
Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
Expertise using Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, consultative and communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent organizational, planning, facilitation and prioritization skills.
Ability to solve problems under time constraints.
Must work effectively with others in a professional manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks within a defined time period.
