JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assisting with research. 1) working under the direction of Dr. Leigh Ann Mrotek PhD in Marquette University's Neuromotor Control Lab (NMCL) to design and prototype a novel grip force measurement device 2) to calibrate this device. 3) to evaluate this device, under the guidance of the directors of the NMCL, via pilot testing with healthy human volunteers. 4) Competency in the design of mechanical devices in Solidworks. Development of 3D prototype via additive manufacturing. Support the conduct of human subjects experiments exploring the neural control of finger position and force during grasp tasks. AA/EOE ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have competency in the design of electromechanical systems using Solidworks. Candidate must have a working knowledge of neuromotor control related to grasping, stabilizing, reaching, pointing, intercepting and tracking behaviors. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills.
