Psychology Intern-APPIC (170270N2) Department Overview The Psychiatric and Psychological departments provide services on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses, with limited services at Woodwinds in Woodbury and Children's West in Minnetonka. Specific services include individual and family therapy, psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management (Available to children who are already patients of Children's mental health, pediatric, or subspecialty clinics). Position Summary Provide psychological assessment services and appropriate interventions for patients and families served by Children's Hospitals and Clinics under the supervision of qualified staff psychologists. Consult with medical personnel regarding assessment and treatment of patients and families, maintain practice standards, participate in the activities of the Psycholgical Services department, including prevention inservice education programs and case reviews, and engage in on-going skill development. Qualifications Ph.D. or Psy.D. candidacy status in child clinical psychology (or closely related field) from an APA-approved graduate program. Approval by the Director of Training from the student's graduate program is required.
