Monsanto Accounting Intern (Soda Springs, ID) in SODA SPRINGS, Idaho

In Soda Springs, we produce elemental phosphorous, a key component to ensuring farmers are more productive--something that's becoming increasingly important in our growing world. We are currently offering an Accounting Internship for summer 2018 at this location.

The intern will focus on projects that support the financial stewardship at the plant and mine. Responsibilities will include assisting the accounting group with a variety of daily assignments along with longer-term projects. Projects may include working on plant compliance, reports or budgets. Assignments are flexible based on the candidate's interests.

Required Skills/Experiences:

  • Sophomore standing or above and currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance degree program

  • Completion of intermediate and cost accounting courses

  • Must be returning to school after the internship is completed

  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale

Desired Skills/Experiences

  • Experience and/or interest in an industrial environment

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Previous SAP experience

  • Good problem solving skills

  • High degree of personal initiative

  • Excellent organization and planning skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and a diverse culture
