LMI Aerospace Engineering Intern in St. Charles, United States
Summary – Manufacturing Engineering Intern’s primary focus is to work closely with the Manufacturing Engineers and assist in the creation and up keep of BOM’s and Routers, work instructions, cost saving initiatives and problem solving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to determine customer requirements, develop work orders, work instructions and BOM structure for new jobs and modify existing jobs for engineering changes in a timely manner.
Assist in determine quality requirements and inspection methodology.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve manufacturing issues. This may involve tools, methods, engineering, inspection, and interpretation of specifications.
Develop an understanding of the aerospace industry as it applies to LMI’s business model.
Participate in team actives and other duties as assigned.

As assigned by the Engineering Manager, or Plant Management.
QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENT:
Current enrollment in a BA Engineering Degree program with a minimum of 32 credits completed.
Reasoning Ability; Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Working knowledge of MicroSoft Office; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.
Strong Oral and Written skills essential.
Ability to communicate technical information that is clearly understood by laymen and not subject to misinterpretation when required.

Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required when on the shop floor.
