RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Goodwill is a seeking an Administrative Intern in the Safety Department who is looking to build their professional skills within an amazing company. The Goodwill Safety Department is responsible for promoting, advancing and maximizing the safety, health, and productivity of our workforce in compliance with all governing, federal, state and local regulations. The role of the intern will be to provide administrative, procedural and operational support to department employees. Work involves use of various procedures and defined practices. Some judgment must be applied as to how the work is done. Errors are generally caught at the next step and most work is verified. Contact is required to give and receive information which may require follow up explanation or process. Requires tact to avoid friction and get cooperation from customers and coworkers. The internship will be from September through December or January (depending on finals). Hours will be part time, around 20 hours a week - 3 days per week. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 1. Plan and coordinate logistics for meetings to include: presentations, supplies, meeting invitations, room reservations and food/beverage service. 2. Write and prepare memos, letters and presentations. 3. Assemble and maintain files. May include monitoring legal compliance for content of files and following retention/destruction policies. 4. Monitor data such as budget, sales, departmental programs and metrics against operating plans and report on anomalies. 5. Purchase or order equipment and supplies 6. Locate, assemble and summarize data and information as requested 7. Establish and document office procedures

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: 1. High school diploma and a minimum of three years of general office experience. 2. Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. 3. Provide exceptional customer service. 4. Proficient in word processing, presentation and database applications.
