About the Position
Title: Transfer Pricing Tax Intern
Type: 10 Week Summer 2018 Paid Internship
Reports to: SeniorManager,Transfer Pricing
Location: 200 Nyala Farm Road, Westport, CT 06880
Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
The Transfer Pricing Intern will support the Transfer Pricing tax team with numerous aspects of the intercompany pricing at Terex, including setting target margins for key financial ratios by geographic region and activity (manufacturer, distributor, service) for the Terex subsidiaries; assist in the tax provision process by reviewing the financial results of the subsidiaries and determining whether they are reasonable for transfer pricing purposes; participate in calls/meetings to understate the underlying functions and risk involved in the intercompany transactions; support on the process to document the intercompany services that are provided from HQ and for the Oracle system.
Data analysis (qualitative and quantitative).
Monitoring financial margins.
Coordinate communications with people from different countries, backgrounds, and idiosyncrasies.
Minimum Junior year standing as of Spring 2018 at an accredited 4 year university/college.
Pursuing a full-time undergraduate/graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 3.0 required to submit resume to Terex Career Database.
Desire to build a career in Tax.
Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work.
Required Skills & Competencies
Proficient in using general Microsoft Office applications, including Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Excellent analytical skills.
A commitment to detail, accuracy, and follow-through is essential for success.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
Self-motivated with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively with employees across functions and geographies.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
