CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Sales Intern

The Sales Intern assists with maintaining and growing existing client revenues, as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities in the environmental assessment, remediation and industrial services industry. The Sales Intern reports to the Director of Sales.

Essential Functions

  • Support the sales team in managing and developing key client accounts.

  • Identify new revenue streams for growth in retail petroleum, industrial, plant maintenance, filter press, consulting, construction, remediation and brown fields in target areas.

  • Prepare marketing and business presentation materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and share client files, contact lists and competitive information.

  • Interact with both external and internal clients daily, in a positive manner.

  • Assist clients with problem resolution and technical needs.

  • Work with Relationship Managers through all phases of campaign management.

  • Conduct market research and analysis.

  • Participate in and support bid and proposal activities.

  • Attend client, company and industry meetings and conferences.

  • Communicate client progress, status, plans and activities.

  • Assist Relationship Managers in managing a geographical area.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • Current college student with leadership and/or fundraising experience.

  • Willing to work as part of a team.

  • Superior written and verbal communication.

Education

Current college/university student.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
