We are looking for a non-seasonal co-op/intern who can work a maximum of 30 hours a week for our Engineering team who will be responsible for contributing to the success of the team. You will be able to apply coursework concepts to real-world situations working alongside professional, experienced colleagues while also gaining valuable experience working for a global manufacturing and engineering company.
An intern/ co-op position with LINK is a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm. It will be an experience that puts you front and center, allowing you to be hands-on and contributing your creative energy on high-impact projects.
Perform instrumentation calibrations per specified ISO17025 procedures
Repair test instrumentation as needed
Manufacture cables and adapters (requires use of basic electrical components and soldering iron)
Assist Electrical Engineer / Lab Supervisor with troubleshooting equipment and special projects as directed
Install and setup instrumentation in test vehicles
Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all Safety and 5S requirements
Participate in Kaizen activities (Continuous Improvement)
Daily test data processing
Review test results and provide engineering reports that meet customer specifications
Setup test jobs in the required internal systems and close them when completed
Use a Windows based computer system to access information, enter measurement data, store and retrieve files from the network, etc.
Assist with special projects or other tasks as required
Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or related field, with sophomore status or greater
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer based file structures
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
Able to work well in a team environment
Position is located in test facility environment, and may involve hands-on work with tools and testing equipment. Physical activity may include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
