Wood Engineering Intern in Atlanta, Georgia

Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with documents/records research to support various fire protection and mechanical engineering projects, transferring data files and preparing data presentations under supervision, and conducting general quality control review of designs and submittals. Candidate will also work with senior fire protection and mechanical engineering professionals and may interact with other disciplines as needed to coordinate work.

Key Responsibilities
•Job tasks and responsibilities will vary by project demands
•Access, collect and organize information from on-line databases
•May participate in preparation of simple graphical presentations
•As needed, transfer data files from computerized field equipment to office systems
•Perform other skill-appropriate office tasks, as needed

Skills / Qualifications
•Available for 20-40 hours per week
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Currently enrolled in college with a major in mechanical engineering field
•Good problem solving skills
•Familiarity with various computer programs (such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
