Panasonic Database & Reporting Intern - Paid in Bothell, Washington


Minimum 6 month internship, 30 to 40 hours a week. Technical solution support focused on data systems, tools, and processes.

Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes data to support recommendations for business planning, evaluating future requirements and operating forecasts.

Prepares information, reports and presentations for department heads to use for executive meetings.

Support issue resolution, documenting solutions and processes, and completion of assigned tasks.


System Development

  • Support development of solutions to business needs by documenting requirements and participating in solution development.

  • Communicate status and issues to team leadership or management

  • Monitors and audits engineering data for accuracy and completeness.

  • Analysis of project performance metrics and reports.

  • Preparation and distribution of an extensive variety of reports to management and staff worldwide.

Systems Maintenance & Implementation

  • Participate in third party tool implementation projects that may involve global deployment

  • Support testing and validation processes prior to solution deployment

  • Recommends and supports the development and documentation of improved business operations processes with emphasis on automation and global coordination.

  • Drive process improvements.


  • Document custom reports and dashboards using Word, Excel or Visio

  • Implement custom reports and dashboards using web tools and third party BI applications

  • Extract data from disparate sources and archive appropriately for use in reporting

  • Completion of additional tasks as assigned

  • Reports issues, status, and results to management.

  • Communicates effectively across all organizational levels (peers, managers, and other departments.

  • Stays current on required or manager recommended training.


  • Ability to support development and/or implementation initiatives and project teams

  • Knowledge of database systems

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook

  • Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses or escalate issues for resolution

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels, specifically with peers in other groups

  • Strong ability to influence and convince others to prioritize actions for GCS operations.

  • Effectively manages cross functional communication and issue resolution, with minimal oversight.

  • Problem solving abilities for analysis and issue resolution.

  • Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • At least 2 years of IT related experience or computer science course work.

  • Minimum of 2 years of training or education with information management concept.

  • Understanding of user acceptance testing (UAT) a plus

  • Ability to understand and document business concepts and reporting
