BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) EHS Summer Intern in Broken Bow, Nebraska
Job Description SummaryThis position is a hands on introduction to dealing with manufacturing requirements as they relate to environmental, health, and safety compliance, as well as good manufacturing processes.
Reporting to the manager of the EHS department, this position will require candidates to work alongside the EHS professionals, engineering associates, technical manufacturing associates, and production operators to evaluate, problem solve, or develop continuous improvement opstions to assist Broken Bow maintain a high level of EHS performance.
Specific duties shall include: Based off specific PVP and/or ISO14001 targeted production processes, perfrom evaluations, investigations, and associate interactions; Review and interpret, primarily, OSHA and EPA regulations as they relate to these site production processes; Collect, analyze, and evaluate data to identify the root causes of these process defects, or improvement barriers and develop corrective actions to minimize or eliminate these defects and barriers; Present a final project summary presentation prior to the end of the internship.
