Are you pursuing an MBA with a quantitative discipline? Do you have 2 – 4 years of previous work experience? As a Strategy Team MBA Intern, you will work out of our Florence, NJ corporate office. Throughout the comprehensive 10-week summer program, you will work side by side with industry leaders to gain practical knowledge and skills through your departmental assignment and a full understanding of what it’s like to be part of the Customer Strategy team in the fast-paced world of off-price retail! You and the other members of your summer intern class will receive a comprehensive orientation program to get your started on the right foot. You’ll be partnered with a current member of the Strategy team, who will serve as your “buddy” for support and guidance. Throughout the summer, you’ll participate in Leadership Development Seminars, Classroom-style trainings in areas related to your program, visits to market in NYC, tours of our stores and distribution centers, shadowing days where you can explore alternative career paths and learn about other key parts of the business, and community service projects – not to mention a variety of team-building social activities to help you get to know your intern class!
Upon completion of their MBA program, alumni of our internship program have gone on to join our team as full-time associates! We are a rapidly growing brand, providing a variety of professional development opportunities so our associates can grow with us.
Identify growth and profit improvement opportunities by providing insightful analysis and making compelling recommendations to senior management
Analyze and provide observations to support the strategic plans and processes related to customers, stores, site locations, capital productivity, merchandising and overall operational performance
Conduct ad hoc and pro forma / “what if” analyses in support of potential decisions
Conduct research and analysis on internal and external environment and provide business and competitive intelligence and insights
Participate in the development of a scorecard system to measure results
Use statistical techniques to measure the effectiveness and ROI of current practices and various pilots/tests
Maintain ongoing reporting and measurement processes to enhance quality and efficiency of future decision making and monitoring including the use of forward thinking modeling designs and analytical tools
Candidates must be in the first year of a full-time MBA program and have 2 – 4 years prior work experience .
