Sustainability Intern: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

The VF Corporate Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R) Department works to enable our world-class brands to create world-class sustainability programs. The S&R Department builds foundational strategies, compiles research and leverages the scale of VF to give our Brands what they need to create value through sustainability.

The Sustainability Intern will help the S&R Department in a reporting capacity across the program in response development and writing including CDP forestry and water, Know the Chain, and others.

How You Will Make a Difference

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize disparate data and information sources into a cohesive and digestible form

  • Research media outlets, competitor websites and other online sources for relevant information

  • Writing and editing content for external communications and reporting.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Better understanding of the apparel industry as a whole

  • Better understanding of how sustainability plays a role in a corporate setting

  • Better corporate communications skills

Skills for Success

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, preferably in a sustainability or business graduate program.

  • Significant experience with research

  • Significant written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Must have a passion for sustainability

  • Must have an interest in the apparel industry

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite

  • Must be collaborative and open to the ideas of others

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task
