Position Title: Intern Corporate Finance / Treasury

Position Summary

The JetBlue Emerging Talent (JET) internship program provides skill & professional development through participation in the developing real-world business solutions that support the delivery of strategic business initiatives. Throughout the program, interns participate in a robust programming including professional development activities, cross-functional projects, senior leader exposure, networking, and community service. The JET Program provides interns the opportunity to immerse themselves into the aviation industry while developing specific career interest or areas of study.

The Corporate Finance / Treasury internship is designed to give a candidate an experiential glimpse at the day-to-day work involved in running the corporate finance and treasury operations of a multi-national company. The ideal candidate is responsible for the organization’s liquidity levels, cash management, investments, assists with treasury infrastructure enhancements including project work, and provides analytical support to corporate finance functions including debt and cash flow forecasting.

Essential Responsibilities

· Analyzes the company’s optimal capital structure to support growth

· Drives expansion of international banking footprint and optimal account structures to support JetBlue’s growth

· Analyzes and manage optimal bank account balances based on forecasted operations

· Creates daily cash and risk reports for senior management

· Executes domestic and international disbursements including wires

· Recommends and evaluates investment opportunities

· Examines foreign exchange exposure and conducts FX trades to fund the operation

· Assist with short and long term cash flow forecasting

· Ensures internal and external debt covenant and audit compliance of all Treasury and Corporate Finance policies

· Maintains and manages internal customer and external banking relationships

· Partners with accounts payable, accounting, audit and other teams to improve processes and facilitate implementation

· Treasury infrastructure project work/implementation

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Demonstrated financial experience and/or interest

· Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite

· Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills

· Available for overnight travel (up to 10%)

· Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

· Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

· Master’s Degree; Finance, Business, Accounting or a related discipline

· Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities and projects

· Detail oriented and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

Crewmember Expectations:

· Regular attendance and punctuality

· Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

· Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

· When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

· Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

· Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
