Munson Healthcare Intern - Server and Desktop in Traverse City, Michigan
A Server and Desktop Intern works under the supervision of a Server and Desktop Engineer. The primary responsibility of the Server and Desktop Intern is a project to upgrade the windows file servers on at various locations within the Munson System to Windows server 2016. This position requires insight to project planning including scope and risk planning, Microsoft File/Share Permissions, and Microsoft Server operating system management.
Currently enrolled in an Computer Information Technology, Information Systems, or related Computer Science program at the College level, with 1 year left to complete.
GPA of 3.0 or higher

Referral letter from a professor.
Keyboarding proficiency required
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows required
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server required
Ability and willingness to work in a team environment required
Ability to work independently beneficial
Critical thinking/ability to think logically beneficial
Will work under the general supervision of the Servers and Desktops Manager but may receive advice and assistance from other members of the team.

Design a plan to update the current file storage solution at the location above to a newer server OS.
