FormFactor hosts an annual 12 week internship as part of our commitment to growing and developing the next generation of technical talent. Internships provide current students and recent graduates with the opportunity to work on novel projects alongside experts in the world of semi-conductors. Successful candidates must be available to start this program on Monday, May 21st or Monday June 18th and commit to all 12 weeks of the program.
In this position, the Intern will work with Formfactor’s Product Development team. This role will design mechanical components to optimize the performance of probe cards. This project involves applying fundamental of mechanical design, running experiments, data collection, and failure analysis and writing a detailed technical report that can be used for both internal and external training purposes.
This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on work experience with state of the art wafer sort equipment.
Projects will include:
Perform mechanical design analysis
Create mechanical drawings
Conduct experiments and collect data
Analyze and Correlate data with design
Write technical reports and training documentation
Provide recommendations based on results for future work
Candidates with the following education experience are encouraged to apply:
Minimum of 3 years as an undergraduate (B.S) or currently pursuing M.S/Ph.D in Mechanical engineering field
Strong Mechanical design skills required and experience using Solidworks
FEA skills preferred
Prior drafting experience and knowledge of GD&T tolerance methods
Organizational skills and work with close attention to detail
Mechanical hands on lab experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
